University staff and faculty can request short-term wireless access for University guests and visiting associates by "sponsoring" them. If you have questions about the definition of an official guest, please seek the advice of the Human Resources consultant in your department.
Short-term guest accounts expire at midnight four days after the effective date that you select. The sponsor receives an e-mail confirmation of the account activation shortly after the request is submitted. This confirmation includes the Internet ID and password that the guest can use to access the wireless network.
There is no charge to sponsor an official guest.
