Current Projects
OIT's current project goals include promoting the use of OIT video conferencing room installation standards and creating and maintaining the following:
- a directory of video conferencing sites which lists all locations for collaborative use
- a collaborative calendar for scheduling video conferencing resources
- standard video conferencing infrastructure with schedules for maintenance and system upgrades at equipment end-of-life
- unified operation of video conferencing systems so users can use all equipment across campuses with out re-training
- encrypted communication to comply with HIPAA and FERPA regulations
- integration and interoperability with other technology and communication devices such as personal computers, mobile devices, voice over IP (VoIP), and traditional telephones
Video Conferencing Locations Projects
The technology is being upgraded at the following locations to provide high definition video, high quality audio, improved content sharing from computers, document cameras, white boards, and end points in a standardized configuration.

Video Conferencing Infrastructure Project
Effective video conferencing requires a technology infrastructure in order to manage and maintain video conferencing end locations. OIT is currently partnering to maximize the interoperability of the video conferencing platform inside and outside of the University system.
