Description

Symantec EndPoint Protection protects your computer from viruses, spyware, and other malicious software. Symantec Endpoint integrates essential technologies such as AntiVirus, antispyware, firewall, and intrusion prevention into one package. Symantec Endpoint Protection is compatible with Windows 7, Vista or XP Pro.

Version 12.1.2 now available, this version is compatible with Windows 8 and Mac OS X (Mountain Lion). 

Read an important update about upgrading your antivirus before July 4, 2012.

You can download at no charge the Symantec software for your operating system by following these steps:

  1. Select your operating system next to the software you want in the Downloads table below.
  2. Log in with your University of Minnesota Internet ID and password.
  3. Read the Symantec AntiVirus Software Use Agreement and select I accept.
  4. Download the software completely.
  5. Note: If you are a faculty or staff member using a University of Minnesota owned computer, talk to your local IT staff to determine which security package you should install.
