Adobe® Acrobat® Pro software lets you convert any document into a portable document format (PDF) file. Under our contract we are licensed for Adobe Acrobat Pro available for the Macintosh platform and the Windows Platform. 

Effective 03/26/12 - Adobe Presenter will be offered as a separate license listed on UTools.  A new license level that will include one Adobe Acrobat license for Mac or Windows and one Adobe Presenter for Windows license will be created for $75 per license (set) per year. Department- and collegiate-level licenses will still include both products and prices will be updated on this site as soon as possible.

Microsoft Exchange Server is a messaging and collaborative software product developed by Microsoft. Due to continued increase in JMP usage at the University of Minnesota, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) is for the second year in a row pleased to announce that effective July 1 2011, we were able to once again lower the price for individual and departmental yearly license fees for JMP.  In addition, we added a Collegiate level of JMP licensing. An individual license is now $10/year (down from $15 previously $45), a departmental coverage license is now $250/year (down from $500, previously $2100) and the new Collegiate coverage license is $500/year.

RefWorks is a Web-based citation manager provided by the University Libraries that enables you to: 1) create your own or a group's bibliographic database by importing references from MNCAT and many other databases or enter them using a template; 2) automatically generate bibliographies in all major styles and then export them as several document types; and 3) attach one or more files to individual records in your account.

System Center Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr), formerly Systems Management Server (SMS), is a systems management software product by Microsoft for managing large groups of Windows-based computer systems. Configuration Manager provides remote control, patch management, software distribution, operating system deployment, and hardware and software inventory.

The University of Minnesota provides common-good e-mail accounts to all eligible students, staff, and faculty, as well as two e-mail services: Gophermail and Gmail. Both enable users to send and receive e-mail through Web-based and desktop clients. Mozilla Thunderbird is the recommended desktop client.
