- Instructors can order ArcGIS and Extensions Student Edition for their classes; request the software on the ESRI site.
- Faculty and staff also may purchase ArcInfo directly from ESRI.

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) has partnered with MnSCU to offer a state-wide contract for the ESRI Geographic Information System (GIS) software, ArcInfo and ArcView. The state-wide contract will allow all U of M campuses, extension offices, and tesearch venters the option to participate in the contract, saving the University money. With this new contract, we were able to reduce the departmental cost from $4,500 to $3,000 per year. Additionally we are now able to offer a collegiate license for $5,500 per year.
