OIT discontinued the Certified Laptop Program as of September 2012. A recent evaluation revealed that less than 20 percent of incoming University of Minnesota students took advantage of the program. Going forward, we will focus on providing a high level of support for all student devices on campus.
OIT will continue to provide the same support services for laptops sold as part of the laptop program. Students who purchased a laptop can still expect to receive those services for the duration of their time as a student.
We would like to thank our campus partners who have worked to make this is a successful program, and look forward to working together to ensure students on campus receive a high level of support for any device they purchase and bring to campus.
