Students: June 21, 2013 was the final date for students to download Symantec Antivirus software through the University of Minnesota’s contracts.
Staff and faculty: You have until June 21, 2014 to remove Symantec from your personally owned computer. We highly recommend that you begin your migration to a different product as soon as you can. Below we have a listing and links to recommended anti-virus products.

Note that Symantec must be removed from UMN owned computers by June 21, 2014.
Departments: Will be migrating from Symantec to Microsoft System Center Endpoint Protection.
Students, Staff and Faculty for person use: Should remove Symantec prior to June 21, 2014 and begin using another product such as Windows Defender, Microsoft Security Essentials, and Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac OS X
Anti-virus software is required on computers in the residence halls (ResNet).
