Access key allows anonymous login-free access to the course to be restricted to only those who know the password. Anonymous visitors will be required to supply the password each time they access the course. If the course designer allows read-only access to a Moodle site without a password, then anyone in world will be able to access the site. Student data at the University of Minnesota is governed by FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act). Please review this page, if you choose to do so.

Inform Your Students that Your Moodle Site is Available

You may want to contact your students and let them know that they can access course resources via Moodle course management system.

NOTE: If you are new to Moodle, review information on layout and basic editing instructions, so you may start building your site. You can also download the Moodle 2: Creating Basic Course Web Sites reference guide.
