During October 2013 there were reports that Respondus LockDown Browser would not load quizzes when used on Windows 8.1. Respondus, Inc. created a new version of the browser that resolved this issue. There is now also a newer version which addresses issues with OS X 10.9 (Mavericks).
Respondus' web site has an administrator interface where we can set the minimum version on a per-Moodle instance basis. If students or instructors have a version older than what is required, when they launch the browser they will be promoted to download and install the newest version. The latest version, which was released November 4, 2013, addressed issues with the newest version of the LockDown Browser and Internet Explorer 11.
