Through a partnership with Google, University of Minnesota students, faculty, and staff can access the Google Apps for Education Edition, a suite of communication and collaboration tools designed to enhance our ability to work together.
Faculty, staff, and students are eligible to sign up for U of M Google Apps.
Core applications, which consist of Gmail, Calendar, Drive/Docs, Talk, Sites and Groups, are covered by the Google Apps for Education Customer Agreement, that protects the privacy of information placed in these applications. The University also has extended options for supporting these applications and for contacting Google for additional on behalf of end users.

The University provides support for the Google Apps for Education Core Suite of Apps, which includes Gmail, Calendar, Drive/Docs, Talk, Sites and Groups. Google consumer (non-core) applications are not covered by the Google Apps for Education Customer Agreement, and are subject to the product's specific terms of service.
